I wrote this song a few years ago when I was with The Blue Auroras and we used to perform it as a six minute song combined with another song that was then titled El Toro (I've since recorded El Toro though retitled El Toreador).

Ensenada is a fun little tune about a hapless surfer traveling south to Ensenada in the Mexican Baja for some surfing. Along the way he meets a senorita. In the end this bodes not so well for our young friend though even though he suffers some mishaps he doesn't waver from his original goal ... getting to Ensenada and some cool waves.
